Due to the City of Toronto’s ongoing 2 year renovation project at Fort York Garrison Commons, TURF’s festival site will be in the midst of a few construction areas. We are working hard to ensure this does not impede your experience at this year’s festival, however here are a few things for you to know:
As a result of a new bridge being built to join Fort York Garrison Commons with Stanley Park, there are currently lumps of dirt on the far West side of the venue. We are doing our best to conceal this with the West Headline Stage, however there will still be some uneven ground so please be aware.
Due to the City’s DVP construction work, the South Stage has been moved and changed into two side stages; the Canadian Battle of York and the Rebellion Stage. The Rebellion Stage is promised to have beautiful green grass next year, however this year it is still a gravel lot – nothing more rock n’ roll than that!
The great news is that the Fort York Parkade promises to be a beautiful urban oasis by 2017, however due to the ongoing and overdue renovations, it is still a partial construction zone. We appreciate everyone’s understanding and patience while the venue is in mid-process and can’t wait to see you all this weekend!
