Toronto — Toronto Urban Roots Fest (TURF) returns to Fort York Garrison Common Historical Site on September 16th-18th. Today the festival is excited to announce that The Hold Steady (with Franz Nicolay back on keyboards) to the Sunday Main Stage line-up for 2016. See the daily schedule here. TURF’s 2016 Club Bonus Series line-up will be announced on July 13th with tickets going on sale the next day.

TURF was recently nominated for two awards in the first ever Canadian Live Music Awards, both for Medium Festival of the Year, and New Kid on the Block, alongside the Winnipeg Folk Festival, Interstellar Rodeo, Field Trip, and WayHome.

The nominations came on the heels of being the only Canadian festival this year nominated by the prestigious Pollstar Awards in the category of North American Festival of the Year alongside The Newport Folk Fest and San Francisco’s Treasure Island.

Toronto — Toronto Urban Roots Fest (TURF) returns to Fort York Garrison Common Historical Site on September 16th-18th. Today the festival is excited to announce that Pennsylvania’s Ween will now be headlining Saturday and Modern Baseball joins Friday’s line-up for 2016. See the daily schedule here. Today the festival is excited to announce that Jimmy Eat World, The New Pornographers, Whitehorse, Margo Price, Dwayne Gretzky (playing The Tragically Hip), The Sadies, Wild Child, The Deslondes, Simone Denny, Lee Harvey Osmond, The Belle Game, Modern Space and Julia Jacklin have all been added to 2016’s line-up. TURF will be announcing more artists soon.
