TURF has a single entrance and exit on Fleet Street through the museum public entrance (and construction) up the stairs to the museum grounds – There is no entrance or exit on Garrison Road, off Strachan Ave, and or off Bathurst street.
The former South Stage is unfortunately under City of Toronto Gardiner Expressway construction, and so the venue has us splitting up what was formerly programmed on the South into two new stages, the Battle Of York Stage (which is funded by the Ontario Music Fund) which features Canadian Artists (and is partially tented) and the new Rebellion Stage (located inside the fort).
As part of the on-going construction at the museum, the site will be much larger this year with increased green spaces though some areas will be fenced off to make way for construction of the new bridge connecting which will eventually connect the site with even more green space.
Sorry, double wide connecting chairs, tents, are not permitted– nor will you be able to place your small chairs anywhere close to the stage or in the front-of-stage VIP area!
This year the entire site is flat. We also have a designated fenced in wheelchair area by the sound booth at both the East, West, & Battle of York Stages.
Please note all Horseshoe Tavern and Lee’s Palace shows are 19+.
Pets, coolers, skateboards, beer/alcohol, bottles, beach umbrellas (small foldable umbrellas are fine, no pointy ends!), camper-style large knapsacks, selfie sticks, fireworks, tents, laser pointers, glass containers, plastic bottles, pop, juice, etc. No video cameras, no professional camera equipment, no tripods, no lenses ‘bigger than your head’ (digital SLR bodies with non-professional lenses are ok!)
This year we are going plastic bottle free, so we are asking patrons, artists, vendors and staff to not bring plastic throw away bottles on site. We will have free water refill stations on site! We’ll also be selling official TURF reusable bottles on site.
We will be posting a full list of things you cannot bring into the festival grounds the week of TURF. Please check the list before coming down to TURF.
